Bay Club Marin and our parent company, Western Athletic Clubs (WAC), have a long history of giving. Like many of our Club members, we believe that actions speak louder than words when it comes to fulfilling our mission statement, "We Enhance People's Lives."

Here are a few organizations we are proud to be consistently involved with:


	Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk As a flagship sponsor of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, Western Athletic Clubs combines its fundraising efforts with seven Bay Area clubs. Every year we continue to exceed our goals. In 2004 Bay Club Marin was able to raise $20,000 in the month of October alone. WAC matched that amount and all the money raised by all of its Clubs. Together we donated a total of over $400,000 to this worthy cause.

	Big Brothers Big Sisters In 2004 Bay Club Marin donated $15,000 to become a Gold Sponsor of Big Brothers Big Sisters. This money helped create the Health and Harmony after school program, which focuses on building confidence, positive self-esteem, physical wellness, healthy lifestyle choices and enhanced social skills among Big Brothers Big Sisters youth. We were able to raise $3,200 for the Bowl For Kids Sake event held annually.

	Marin Food Bank Bay Club Marin members generously donated over 875 pounds of food during last year's Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday season.
