In addition to our one-on-one Personal Fitness Training program, the Club also offers semi-private Personal Fitness Training opportunities for those who prefer to work out with one or more other members.

All of our trainers are nationally certified. All undergo extensive continuing education and professional development. And almost all hold exercise-related degrees. Our tier system recognizes a trainer’s overall record of success, level of education, specialty training, and years of experience:

Patrick CaronPatrick has worked as a personal fitness trainer since 1992. He earned his health/fitness instructor certification from the American College of Sports Medicine and is a certified strength and conditioning specialist. He is also a Level 3 ski instructor certified by PSIA (Professional Ski Instructors of America). Patrick holds a B.S. in physical activity sciences from University Laval, Quebec City, Canada. |

Nancy Morano
My philosophy is centering strength from the inside out. Because we all learn in different ways, knowing how to focus through breath, postural alignment and visualization can be useful to anybody at any level of fitness. Variety IS the spice of life (and much more fun!) My strong suit is creating an individualized exercise program with various training modalities so you will never be bored with the same old routine. Mike ParraMike Parra has been a personal fitness trainer and group exercise instructor for twenty years. He has been certified by both the American College of Sports Medicine and the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Mike began his career as a professional ballet dancer after graduating from the Marin Ballet School, and later founded his own Company, the NOMAD Dance Company. He is now a candidate for Pilates instructor, completing his certification through Integrated Teacher Training. Mike's philosophy: ”Work with what you got. Just like my clients, I struggle with my commitment to my body, and that means we can both use all the help we can get, it's best to welcome the support that partnership provides! Lisa Shields
Lisa Moore Shields has been teaching movement for the past fifteen years. She is certified in Pilates, GYROTONIC, and yoga. As a professional dancer in New York, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara, and San Francisco she has used these disciplines to perfect her technique and rehabilitate her injuries. Her BFA in dance and her BA in literature are from UC Santa Barbara. She has an MA in dance from the New College of California. |
